Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) is a very important and easy to learn skill.  It is taught for a variety of people from the average citizen to a pool life guard or nurse.  This course usually takes one day (eight hours) to complete, but could be shorter depending on the level you are taking.  Early CPR (prior to fire or ems arrival) has been proven to be a beneficial part in the 911 process.

Key Benefits

  • Comfort in knowing you are trained to do all you can to help save a family or co-workers life
  • Job skill for a young babysitter or life guard starting out in the career world
  • Ability to understand what to do to assist in the 911 operators in the event you summons the assistance of an ambulance

Courses are taught every other month at West I-10 Station One on Kingsland west of Mason Road.

Each month we teach 'HeartSaver CPR', 'HeartSaver AED', 'HeartSaver First Aid', 'BLS Healthcare Provider CPR' and  'BLS Healthcare Provider Skills Check Off' classes.

Heart Saver is a course designed for the general public.  It is divided into two categories, one for a CPR only and one that also includes training on the use of an AED.  The First Aid course includes both CPR and basic first aid.

BLS Healthcare Provider is a course designed for those that work in fields that require more in-depth training in CPR.  This includes Emergency personnel (EMT's / Firefighters), Doctors, Nurses, Medical Technicians and the like.

All courses start at 8am on the third Saturday of the month
